 RadFax 0.9 is somewhat incomplete and may have bugs, it is capable
of receive weather faximile messages via the sound input port of
Macintosh computers. Basically you connect your Mac to a shortwave
radio and tune in to weather fax station. You set the reception
speed and desired resolution and start receiving.
 I'm not sure if I'm going to add the features that I still feel are
missing, but if I get enough shareware payments, I will do so. In
any case, anyone who send me a shareware payment of $25 (cash
prefered, but I guess there might be a way for me to cash checks
too) will receive a disk with the full source code for the program.
You will need at least Think C 5.0 and TCL to compile the program.

I still see no reason whatsoever for the first BBS to be held
accountable. It makes no sense at all. Why should anyone, other than
the originator, be held accountable for his actions? He wrote it, he
should take the lumps for it. If he uses someone else's call, track
him down, like any other mode.

Subject: Cable channel 18..

 I don't know how much this has been discussed here, but I would like to
know what I can do about our cable system. There is a real bad cable leak
in our town. If I tune to 145.25 while in my car, I can even hear their
continuous carrier, thats how bad it is.. Who do I talke to or contact
about getting this problem fixed? Whenever someone transmits they get
into everyones channel 18 in about a half mile radius. Noone has really
complained to the cable company yet, probably because here it's a pay
station (PASS.. joy) and I don't think many people subscribe to it..

Any suggestions??

I will be going to the Hamvention.. We usually attend all three days.. I don't
have a table.. but I would be willing to volenteer some time for it..

Depends on how long you hold message IDs - no one can hold them indefinitely
so there must come a time when you can re-use one. I would guess that the
interval is too long (and variable between sites) to be of use. I only keep the
last 5000 IDs on my packet BBS, which is adequate for most purposes, and the
last couple of weeks' worth for Usenet.

Catch-22 time... if I run a kill file it slows the system down (each potential
incoming has to be checked) and the more in it, the slower it gets. There
